Twin Anchors Campground, Colo IA First camping trip of the summer under our belts! Amenities include a pond with a small beach and a petting zoo. Not the nicest campground we've been to, but definitely not the worst. Had a great time with the Ballagh and Bartels clans. 

Jellystone Park, Warrens WI
Had a fantastic 4th of July week with the Bartels, Ballaghs, and Roeders. Jellystone had so many things to keep us entertained including a beach, pools, water slides, mini golf, and of course ga ga ball. We ran in to Chewbaca at Wal-Mart and saw the elusive neon man wandering the campground. It will be hard to top this trip!

Backbone State Park, Dundee IA
First time at this state park and it did not disappoint. The park boasts beautiful scenery including a natural spring, caves, and some great overlooks all along hiking trails. Thanks go to the Bartels and Roeders for boosting the fun on this trip.

Bob Shetler Recreation Area, Johnston IA
Headed over to Saylorville Lake last weekend to check out this campground on the south side of the dam. Tried our hand at fishing, unsuccessfully, and checked out the trails and butterfly gardens next to the nature center. The Roeders, Parsons, and in their camping debut with us, the Rouses, joined us on this trip, helping make the weekend one to remember.
